Intuition is Your Soul’s Built-in GPS
It’s easy to take for granted the very things that make your life easier. Imagine, for example, if you had to get yourself across the country without using a map or your phone’s GPS.
It sounds like a daunting task doesn’t it? You wouldn’t know which roads to take. You wouldn’t know when or where to turn. You would have no idea what obstacles or challenges lie ahead.
But when you turn on your GPS, you don’t have to struggle getting where you want to go, do you? Nope, you simply pull out your phone, tell it where you want to go, and boom, you are given a complete roadmap to get you to your destination. It’s amazing!
Well, your intuition works the same way!
Intuition is your soul’s connection with the Divine, (or source or God or whatever label you choose to use) and provides you access to the precise guidance you need to get anywhere you want to go in life.
Unlike the GPS in your phone though, your intuitive guidance is always on, always guiding you, always showing you the path ahead. All you have to do is set a clear intention around what you want. Your intuition will do the rest.
So, why then do so many people struggle when it comes to tapping into this wonderful guidance system called intuition?
Like your GPS, your intuition will always show you the way, but unless you decide to take advantage of the amazing power it has, you will find yourself trying to navigate the world on your own.
Sure, you might eventually make it to your destination without your intuition, but you will probably make a few wrong turns along the way. You might even find yourself going through some sketchy neighborhoods, or travelling along paths strewn with danger!
Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way. Trusting in your intuitive voice will always lead you in the direction of your best and highest good. All you have to do is listen and act on the guidance you receive.
Of course, listening to and acting on your intuitive guidance takes practice. This is why Donna Marie and I opened the Free to be Psychic Inner Circle – to provide a safe, comfortable space for you to connect with, trust in, and grow your intuitive skills. We think it’s that important.
Because although the intuition process is simple, there are many points along the way where the guidance you receive can get jumbled or even ignored.
You can be in a state of mind (upset, busy, distracted) that doesn’t allow your intuition to be heard.
You can second guess those intuitive nudges you receive. (We often think we know better than the Divine)
You can receive vague messages that you have trouble relating to.
You can receive guidance, but be afraid to act on it.
Or it can feel like you aren’t receiving any guidance at all from your intuition.

The good news is that no matter what challenges you are having when it comes to your intuition, you CAN get better at it. Better at asking, better at listening, and better at allowing your Divine guidance to play a larger role in your life.
A great way to expand your connection to your intuition is to pay more attention to the way things ‘feel’. Take the time to pause and ask yourself, how does this choice feel? Does it feel lighter? Or does it feel heavier?
A decision or choice that is aligned with your desires and your highest good will always feel lighter than one that is not. If you get a heavier feeling or a sort of neutral feeling, that’s probably a good sign that this might not be the best choice for you at this time.
And remember this is just a quick check-in, if you begin analyzing how a choice or situation feels, your logical mind will take over and you’ll lose touch with your intuitive voice.
Keep it light and you’ll keep it right!
Trust your intuition as much, if not more than you trust your GPS. Because your intuition, unlike that man-made GPS, will never tell you “You can’t get there from here”. (Which ours once did!) It will always guide you.
